About Us
The Silicon Valley Futures Institute serves as a center of excellence dedicated to preparing leaders for the challenges and opportunities created by emerging
technologies. Through collaboration with experts across disciplines, we develop knowledge frameworks and educational programs that support responsible
innovation and strategic decision-making.
OUR MISSION
Empowering humans to navigate future technologies responsibly.
At Silicon Valley Futures Institute, we convene researchers, technologists, authors, and policymakers to anticipate emerging technologies, design responsible best practices, and implement governance frameworks for the innovations that will define the next century.
We do not just study the future—we activate it. Through our education programs and our AI Transformation Lab, we translate insight into execution, developing real-world solutions and successful projects. This integrated approach equips leaders and organizations not only with knowledge, but with the capabilities to implement, scale, and govern technological change with responsibility and confidence
Where we stand
Born in the heart of innovation, built for the people who have to keep up
The Institute was founded a few miles from where much of this technology is being written. That proximity is not a marketing line — it is a responsibility. The distance between what is possible here and what reaches a classroom, a factory floor or a ministry in another country is still measured in years, and those are years people cannot afford to lose.
Our work sits at the intersection of three things that are usually kept apart: education, technology and credentialing. Education without technology dates quickly. Technology without education produces tools nobody trusts. And both are worth very little if there is no credible way to prove what a person can actually do. So we teach it, we build it, and we certify it — under one roof.
Education
Programs written for the person who has to make the decision on Monday — executives, faculty, public officials, operators — and for the children who will inherit whatever this generation gets right or wrong.
Technology
We do not teach AI from the outside. Our teams build with it, deploy it inside real organizations, and stay long enough to see what it breaks and what it changes.
Credentialing
Every program ends in something verifiable — an Open Badges 3.0 credential or a recognized competency standard — because a certificate nobody can check is a promise, not a proof.
The generation now in leadership and the generation now in school are being asked to operate in the same unfamiliar decade. Preparing both at once is the reason this Institute exists.
What we do
One institute, four practices
Silicon Valley Futures Institute is a research, education and advisory organization working across the United States and Latin America. Everything we teach, publish and certify comes out of the same four practices — and each one feeds the others.
Applied research
We build the frameworks our programs run on: the F3 methodology behind our children’s education work, the Digital Parental Domain, and digital-skills research for neurodivergent learners.
Education and programs
Executive programs, signature programs and live cohorts in English and Spanish, delivered for companies, business chambers, governments and universities.
AI enablement
Our AI Enablement Lab takes organizations from AI curiosity to governed, working implementations — with the people who will run them afterwards.
Credentials and standards
Verifiable Open Badges 3.0 credentials, competency standards development, and AI ethics certification — so that learning ends in something defensible.
Our Partner Network
For universities and institutions
AI adoption, built around the institution you already have
We do not hand over a course catalogue and leave. Engagements start from where the institution actually is — faculty readiness, data maturity, existing academic policy — and the program is designed from there, in English, in Spanish, or in both.
Tailored AI and Data programs
Two program lines — AI programs and Data programs — designed against your curriculum, your faculty and your calendar, rather than an off-the-shelf syllabus.
CEDAI — Certificate in Digital Education and AI
Subtitled Scholar AI Governance: it equips education leaders, from preschool to postgraduate, to define and implement institutional AI governance and policy. Closes with a verifiable credential.
Institutional credentialing
Issue Open Badges 3.0 credentials under your own brand through VeriCert, with proctoring, verification and a public validation page built in.
Also part of an institutional engagement
- Faculty enablement and train-the-trainer cohorts
- AI governance and academic policy frameworks
- Micro-credential architecture and badge families
How we usually start
- A readiness diagnostic with your academic and IT leadership
- A pilot cohort with one faculty or one department
- A credentialing pilot before institution-wide rollout
Beyond the classroom
We show up where the future gets built
Teaching is only part of the work. Our team convenes the conversation and takes part in it — hosting briefings and workshops, running hackathons, and sitting on the judging panels of other people’s.
We host
Futures Briefings, executive workshops and public seminars across the US–Latin America corridor, in person and online, in English and Spanish.
We run hackathons
Team build sprints where participants ship something real against a brief — with our faculty mentoring the teams through it.
We judge
Our faculty is invited to judge hackathons and innovation competitions, applying the same evaluation rigor we use in our certification work.
Our people
A faculty of practitioners
Our instructors teach what they do for a living — data governance authors, AI ethics researchers, operators, and academics from the United States, Mexico, Europe and India. Every program is co-designed with the person who will teach it.
Practitioners, not lecturers
Data governance authors, AI ethics researchers, operators and academics who teach what they do for a living — and bring current casework into the room.
International by default
Faculty based in the United States, Mexico, Europe and India, teaching in English and Spanish across the US–Latin America corridor.
Co-designed programs
Every program is built with the person who will teach it and revised between cohorts, so the material moves as fast as the field does.
Our brands
Educational services that run under their own name
Two of our education services have their own audience, their own platform and their own brand — both built and operated by the Institute.
KidGeeniers
A bilingual, screenless STEM and AI program for children aged 6 to 14, built on our F3 framework. It has reached more than 16,000 children across Mexico, the United States, Peru and Colombia.
VeriCert
An Open Badges 3.0 credentialing platform for universities, training bodies and instructors — issuing, proctoring and verifying credentials that hold up outside the institution that granted them.
